We think almost anything deep-fried is amazing! But deep fried bacon mac?! Whaaaaaat?! This recipe is heaven. We took our best seller and made it into a healthier (but just as tasty) version of the real deal. You can thank us later.
-Vegetable oil, for frying (enough to cover your pan by 2 inches)
Instructions:
Scoop 1 tbsp increments of Prime Roots Bacon Mac and Cheese onto a sheet pan. Freeze for a few hours.
Once the scoops are firm, whisk together breadcrumbs, garlic powder, and salt in a small bowl. Set up two extra bowls - one with plant milk and the other with all-purpose flour. Dip scoop individually into oat milk, folllowed by flour, back to oat milk, and finally the seasoned breadcrumbs.
Fill a small saucepan with vegetable oil. Slowly bring to 350 degrees. Gently lower scoops into the saucepan with a ladle and fry until golden brown, about 3-5 minutes. Try not to overcrowd the pan. Once finished, set them on a large baking sheet lined with paper towels to soak up the oil. Serve immediately.
